Jennifer over sees our Children’s Ministry- From a young age Jennifer had a heart for sharing the Gospel with people in her life and and saw the need for missionary work in her own country. Her desire is to equip and enable others in children’s ministry and to see generations grow knowing who they are in Christ and honouring God with their lives. Beyond Children’s ministry her desire is to see families thrive with Christ as their center. She, her husband Chris and their two boys Seth and Micah share their messy lives with other families in the church and love the body they have been called to. Jennifer also works seasonally as a full-time cook at a local family run restaurant. There she enjoys opportunities to share Jesus and bring hope and light to everyday life while feeding hungry bellies. For fun she taps into her creative side making crafts and decorating her family home. She loves to sing, dance and belly laugh!

What We Believe

About the Scriptures:

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About God :

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About Humanity:

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

About Salvation:

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About the Christian Life:

We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

About the Church:

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ.

The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.

The History of Center Point Church

Center Point Church was officially launched on May 9th, 2010, in an old United Church building in Murray River PEI. This was not meant to be a permanent location and so we didn’t stay there for long. Six weeks later we made a move to Red’s Corner located just outside of Montague. Here we were meeting in their banquet room and dance hall. April 2011 brought, once again, some more change. At this time in our history Center Point Church merged with Kingsway Christian Fellowship and this gave us a more permanent meeting place in the centre of Montague at 4 Brook Street.

Over the next three years we kept growing and saw God do some great things. On July 7th, 2013 we started another church in Charlottetown that we held at the Holland College campus in the evening. We started small in Charlottetown as we were getting 8-15 people regularly per service.

Excitingly, things started to grow again in Montague and the space in our building on 4 Brook Street was getting too small to hold us. Because of this, we transitioned our Sunday morning service to the Montague Regional High School in September 2014. Center Point Montague, continues to meet at the local High School, and this provides us with lots of room for growth.

About a year after this transition, in the fall of 2015, our Charlottetown Church was growing and so we moved to the University of Prince Edward Island. During this time and into the winter of 2016, we experienced explosive growth. We had between 80-110 people gathered on a Sunday evening. However, with the summer months coming along we were no longer able to use this space at the university and we moved back to Holland College.

God continued to open up doors for our church in Charlottetown. On September 23, 2018 our Charlottetown Church made another transition and this time it involved quite a bit of change. Since it had always been an evening service, we decided the time had come to finally relaunch Center Point Charlottetown as a morning service experience. With this, our new location to meet was at the Charlottetown Cineplex at 10am.

We are excited for what the future holds and for the things God has planned to do through both our churches. We believe in a God who is faithful, limitless, and that can do great things through his people!
